Local people tells Xinhua net that goitered gazelles appear on the desert frequently in recent years, sometimes the amount can reach 30, 40 or more. Goitered gazelle becomes the local hotspot of Hutubi County , Xinjiang. Graziers here say they can hardely see so many goitered gazelles few years before. Gu Jinghe, an expert of Chinese Academy of Sciencer (CAS) believes Junggar Basin lived lots of goitered gazelles 50years before. But the population reduced sharply because of unlawfully hunt. In recent years more and more goitered gazelles were found with the raising of environmental consciousness. It ' s about 100 to 200 thousands goitered gazelle distributed in Xinjiang at present.
