Xinhua Yinchuan Station reporter Wuyong says that the rapidly increase of Chinese blue sheep effected the biological balance of Ningxia Helan Mountain Nature Reserves, so Mt. Helan national Nature Reserve Management Bureau begins to encourage international hunting activity with China Forestry Bureau's permission.
The population of Chinese blue sheep come to the bottom to the year of 1983 because of immoderately hunt. Local government began to forbid hunt roundly from 1988, also because of blur sheep ' s strong procreation ability and absent of preyer, the population increased from 1,500 to 12,000 and the distribution density is the highest in the world.
