Tibet Tour of China
Day 01: Take morning
flight from Beijing to Lhasa, and then drive to the city of Lhasa.
You'll get greeted by Nie Tang Buddha — a Buddha image engraved
in the mountain face on the way there. Check in hotel for a complete
rest for acclimatization.
Day 02: Visit Potala
Palace — Lhasa's cardinal landmark, Tibet Museum, as well as Norbulingka
— Dalai Lama's summer palace. Stay overnight at Lhasa;
Day 03: After breakfast
drive to Basum Tso Lake — the famous sacred lake of the Ningmapa
Sect. Cross Mila Pass that's 5,230 meters above sea level and make
a short stop there. Enjoy the well-preserved natural scenery along
the road, stay overnight at the Basum Tso Villas;
Day 04: Drive to Bayi
and check in the hotel there. Then drive to the Seche La Pass(4,728
meters above sea level) to gaze at the grand Namjigbarwa Peak, visit
Lulang Forest Sea. Stay overnight in hotel of Bayi Town.
Day 05: Drive back to
Lhasa, stay overnight at Lhasa;
Day 06: Drive to Namtso
Lake, enjoy the gorgeous scenery of the highest lake in the world,
sightseeing the grassland by Nian-qing-tang-gu-la Mountain. Stay
overnight at Lhasa;
Day 07: Visit Jolkhang Temple
and Barkhor Street in the morning. Jolkhang Temple is the most sacred
place in Tibet. Pilgrims come here to pay homage from all over Tibet.
Barkhor Street is called “the window of Tibet”. It was formed when
Jolkhang Temple had been built. You can get a typical Tibetan souvenir
here with a good price. It is also an essential pilgrim route. Take
