Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, and Shanghai

Day 1: Beijing, Upon arrival in Beijing, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel, you will have a good rest there.

Day 2: Beijing (B,L), Visit Tian'anmen Square, then enter the Forbidden City----home of Chinese Emperors for more than 500 years. After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven, one of the best examples of Ming Dynasty architecture in Beijing. Dinner on your own.

Day 3: Beijing (B,L), The highlight today is an excursion to the Great Wall----Mutianyu. Enjoy the dramatic vistas and marvel at the Wall as it climbs and descends steep ridges and narrow valleys. (Cable car excluded) Afternoon at leisure for shopping or additional exploration.

Day 4: Beijing/Xi'an (B,L), After breakfast, take an early morning flight to Xi'an. Transfer to the Hotel, then take a tour of the ancient city walls, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell Tower. Enjoy a little free time in the afternoon, dinner on your own.

Day 5: Xi'an(B,L), Today's highlight is a visit to the Archaeological Museum, home to more than 6,000 life-size terra-cotta warriors and horses excavated from the tomb of the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty. After lunch, visit the Neolithic Village of Banpo which contains relics from the earliest known inhabitants of China. Dinner on your own.

Day 6 Xi'an/Guilin (B,L), After breakfast, take a morning flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, begin sightseeing with a city tour, including Reed Flute Cave and Fubo Hill. Enjoy local cuisine on your own.

Day 7: Guilin/Yangshou (B,L), Today's excursion is a cruise along the beautiful Li River. Experience the magical beauty of limestone rock formations and farmland commonly seen in Chinese landscape paintings. Disembark at the charming village of Yangshuo, which has one of the best antique and craft markets in China. Visit Moon Hill and Big Banyan . Dinner on clients own. Overnight at Yangshuo.

Day 8: Yangshuo-Guilin/Shanghai (B, L, D), Free at leisure in Yangshuo. After lunch, transfer to the Guilin airport for late afternoon or evening flight to Shanghai. Arrival in Shanghai, transfer to the hotel. Dinner included either on the plane or at arrival city.

Day 9: Shanghai (B, L, D), Full day tour including Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Garden, the Bund and Nanjing Road. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 9: Shanghai (B/L) Today you will take a city tour around Shanghai. The city tour takes us to the Yu Yuan Garden, a classical Ming Dynasty garden with pavilions, towers, and terraces. Then you can come to the new district across from the Bund called Pudong to experience the economy booming in China. After a wonderful Mongolian meal, you will visit the famous Bund, Nanjing Road, and Shanghai Museum.

Day 10: Shanghai/Home (B) Today you will be free to go shopping and explore more of Shanghai until it is time for your transfer to the airport for your flight back to home
